I could not even apply one star to this company. It is absolutely horrific, it is basically a legal/illegal company. And it is terrible that due to this Trading Standards have been aware of this Caveat Viator Ltd for the last 4 months along with the DVLA an its illegal devious practice. And at present have not managed to legally gain the needed help to exterminate this company. The Directors M...... H....., S...... O..... & J.... W.... continue to profit and have been since September 2012 in a fraudulent manner. I will not sit back and allow this to continue. This time they have deceived the wrong person. I will take every action to STOP this from continuing. The small print which is obviously not read by many or this company would not be making profit, speaking of profit I am awaiting forwarding of their accounts with companies House to see exactly the amount that these three con men have managed to gain from people. The small print has been examined and is not exactly fool proof in regards to consumer rights. when applying for a provisional licence the small print states that the DVLA 'may' require/request additional costs, why use the word '' the DVLA most definitely will, because this is not an application for a provisional licence, these people just simply fill in your basic personal details which you spent time filling in on their website just for them to press print and post this back to you for £50.00. I hope these people go bankrupt and live poor lives thats what they deserve. Pure evil, preying on innocent people. And if they have families do they know how these three Directors financially support them? I will look forward to taking these three people down.

Hi yes I've been had, £80 down the toilet for not being on the ball - hitting wrong link when googling DVLA - their site came up and it shouldn't be linked I went ahead and agreed - will now read all small print - why are they not being investigated by Trading Standards

The previous contributor is absolutely right, this company offer a fraudulent service dressed up as a legitimate service. They run a number of website designed to look almost exactly like their government counterpart site. They have scams relating to vehicle registrations, driving license applications and even European health insurance cards. Essentially you fill in a form online in the belief that you are on the government website and they send you a copy of the form you've completed with a recommendation that you then submit to the correct government department with the appropriate fee. They claim that once they start their process you have entered into a legally binding contract and have no consumer rights. Well this will be tested quite soon because I am taking them to county court to test how robust their fraudulent business model is. They believe that they can exempt themselves from the distance selling regulations by writing up terms and conditions that say the 7 day cooling off period doesn't apply for the provision of services because as soon as you complete their application form they've already provided the service. I'm sure most unsuspecting public might go without a fight, I won't. If you have been ripped off by Caveat Viator and that counts for pretty much anyone that's ever dealt with them, then take them to county court. The process is quick and simple and costs £25... A small price to pay even if I lose. The distance selling regulations are very clear on the 7 day cooling off period and if it was as easy as writing up T&C'S stating that the don't apply to your particular company then none of us would ever trade online again. A bunch of crooks who quite literally deserve to be locked up!
