HOLLYWOOD PARTY CENTRE - BOURNEMOUTH, DO

I asked for some white gloves suitable fOr mime and was sold some one size fits all ones - only cheap at £1.99 and I accepted these would be fine.

I have average size hands and was not expecting a snug fit BUT when trying them on 5 mins later they did not fit at all - they were very miss-shapen and even 2 colleagues tried them on and said they were useless.

On returning to the shop I tried on another pair which were just as bad I asked for a refund as these were not fit for puprose.

The girl.manager refused and said they dont have to and so they wont!! She was very unhelpful indeed. They hadnt been worn and were unsuitable for what I had asked for..she even said they are "just cheap and cheerful" as if that excused them being unacceptable.

Her and her colleague were both as unhelpful as each other...all for the sake of £1.99. They would rather have an unhappy customer and gain poor publicity

I would avoid this type of poor company that has such an inflexible, rude attitude to its customers.

Having worked in marketing and customer sales for over 25 yeaers I found this attitude appauling

I have no Idea what the guys issue is below! I also work in customer service and know you could have asked to see the item out the pack before taking it out the shop, plus having you worn them and two other friends they couldnt resell that for hygene, I wouldnt want to buy worn gloves. I know as a consumer and worked in retail its my responsibilty to check suitabilty of an item before purchase and wearing it. I personaly have shopped at Hollywoods on several occasions for loads of parties and nights out, including the said white gloves I got for a Mario Costume and they lasted the night out and have used them since, and a friend also as Micky Mouse with no complaints? I highly recomend Hollywoods for any fancy dress needs. Saying that had some great fireworks from there too.

We came to Bournemouth on a stag weekend, a few of the lads costumes hadnt arrived from other places so we had to sort them out when we got to Bomo. We were told about Hollywood, they helped sort out our costumes last minute. Awesome costumes and we had a great night in Bournemouth, recommend the town for any stag (met some great hen groups too) and Hollywood for costumes.
