A very poor school. Ms Jane Malcom was the Chair of the Governors. From around 2010 onwards, there was a budgetary overspend by the school. As a result of this overspend, the school achieved recognition by Ofsted as being a Grade 2 Good School. This was a well-earned result as clearly the school was performing at Grade 2 Good School standard and possibly even Grade 1 Outstanding.
Last year Ms Lesley McCullagh became the Chair and paired back on the overspend. As a result, the standards have seen a very sharp decline. One of the aspects is the inability of the school to follow any policy or procedure.
The school is due a further inspection by Ofsted and it will be lucky to be classified as Grade 3 Requires Improvement and risks being classified as Grade 4 Inadequate. The current standard has fallen so badly low that I am looking to move my two boys away from the school.
