I’d been diagnosed with chronic pain
fatigue many years ago. I also have
fibromyalgia, and chronic arthritis
Been put on many pain killers . Including
morphine, didn’t help one bit .
I just slept a lot.
Then I saw a councillor, did talking therapy.
She asked if doctors had told me of Salus
(which he hadn’t ) . So i did a referral .
I was nervous when I walked through the doors
( anxiety through the roof )
But they were so welcoming .
The information given , was amazing . Helped
me think differently , and try different
things .
It’s not a one size fits all .
You have to work out what’s best for you .
But I’ve never looked back .
Yes I still have pain , and bad days .
But I also have coping mechanisms now.
I know I can live a life with pain , and I do
.
I may have to rest - up a week before an
event , and a couple of weeks after .
But I’m now living with pain , and enjoying
my life again . I can never thank Salus
enough .
