I recently had my 4D baby scan with this is my, which was truly amazing. I went for my Down’s syndrome screening back in September and knew there and then, that I’d return to book a 4D scan as I’d heard so much about it.


I travelled down from Newcastle with my partner and mum. We were told at the time of booking the appointment, that it’s a good idea to drink a fizzy drink or eat a piece of chocolate (this can help get your baby moving for great pictures) we did as advised and then watched the monitor as our little baby girl moved around, put her hands to her mouth and smiled like she knew we were watching her, I couldn't believe I was looking at her and the first thing my mam and partner said was " my god she has your nose and lips" which was amazing to see.



What an experience and great Christmas present we all had there and then. Because I booked the 4D gold scan, our scan also included many additional medical checks. This was a great experience and very reassuring, I would highly recommend it.

At the end of the scan whilst the DVD and CD images were being prepared for me to take home they went through the well-being report and gave me a copy for my obstetric notes. I’m pleased I booked this, as being 31 weeks pregnant, having to wait from my 18 week NHS scan until birth was a long time to wait to make sure everything was OK.

I have just had a Nuchal scan at the Leeds This is my screening clinic, and I have to say the service I received was outstanding and I wasn't expecting the amount of detail the Sonographer went through compared to the same scan I had with the NHS.

I'm 34 years old and I have longed for a baby for years but never got pregnant until earlier this year, but I sadly miscarried at 8 weeks and 3 days, so when I fell pregnant again shortly after I was worried everything was going to be ok.

With the Nuchal scan I was also offered a pre-clampsia scan for only £40, which I decided to have as, a friend of mine developed Pre-clampsia and lost her baby at 7 months.

Every thing Judith the Sonographer looked at on the scan was explained to me in great detail, ultrasound markers for the Nuchal Fold and Nasal Bone, and she conducted a full anatomy check on which includes: head, body, arms, legs, stomach, kidneys and bladder, the NHS only check the Nuchal measurement, so the private scan is much more accurate.

The verbal detailed information given by Judith at this is my, was far more comprehensive than I received on the NHS, I was not even sure they checked half the things this is my checked for and it took them almost 20 min's to find the Nuchal !! I was worried as nothing much was said during the pregnancy scan and the sonographer was not very reassuring.

I would recommend this is my screening clinic to all pregnant woman, and will be going for my 18-20 week scan and 4d scan in Manchester which is opening in September and is on my door step.
