A1 GAS FORCE LTD - COVENTRY, WE

We got a great deal at A1 Gas Force this winter on a new boiler. They did all the checks for us to find if we qualified for the free boiler scheme. They guys that came to fit it were friendly and caused as little disruption as possible. We were very impressed.

Had a new Central Heating System fitted today by A1 Gas Force have to say when the 4 engineers arrived they worked until the job was finished, the job was done very professionally and the engineers answered every question we had, and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. The engineers assisted in moving all the furniture and put all of it back and put all carpets back they had lifted and even bought their own Hoover to clear any mess that was made. Engineer took us through the workings of the boiler and radiators. I would recommend A1 Gas Force to anyone thinking of having a new Boiler or a new Central Heating system a big thank you from Diane & Gary.

Boiler fitted 9 weeks after initial contact. Work done in one day. Paid 2/3 of cost as on Pension Credit. Work done quickly and efficiently by two competent engineers. 5 Star rating for this. Work was 'inspected' one week later. 1 second glance at boiler, and no visit up into the loft. Talked about 4 concerns/problems. Inspector was in a hurry to leave. One: Bedroom radiator not working, needs new thermostat. Old one damaged long ago. Was not replaced. Now have 2 thermostats working instead of 3. Two: radiator in bathroom leaking very slightly. Three: Worry about flue being too close to public right of way – plume drops down and people can walk through it. Told it was within regulations. Four: Hole left by old cold water tank overflow not filled in. Inspector told me he would ring me next day, but didn't. Contacted them to find out twice where I stood but had no attempt from them to contact me. Contacted Leicester County Council regarding plume. They think it is OK. Highways inspector to check. Hole filled in by me, 70 years old lady up a ladder!!! Radiator in bathroom still leaking very slightly. Fitted new thermostat by me in the bedroom, but difficult to check as it is not on long enough for it to control temperature. May be on full all the time as I could only put on top. Conclusion: A1 Gas Force's communication is poor. Date of work not confirmed at all, i.e. no email/text/telephone call reminder Also some people may expect 100% service on full system after boiler fitted. They just deal with boiler only. No work on leaking radiators done without call out fee and repair cost, leaks are due to increased hot water pressure. There could/should have been an extension on the flue to make it more user friendly. My neighbour had extra work at no cost done with his A1 installation. I didn't.
