So my high end graphics card failed, just showing a screen of red blocks, refitting etc didn't do anything, so I resigned myself to a stop-gap graphics card until the latest RTX series were available, but that seems to be never. And so I though I might see if P C Tech could fix my broken card, however, as expected, when I describe the symptoms, it was confirmed the card had died. As I went to leave it occurred to me P C Tech might like my old card to salvage parts or precious metals rather than just throwing it away, so I gave it to them. It was now their property. You can imagine my surprise and delight however, to receive an unexpected telephone call a few days later to say they had rigorously tested my card, and could find nothing wrong with it, and I was welcome to have it back, just £10 for an hour and a half's testing, and indeed, I re-fitted to my PC and it does indeed work fine. Such honest and thoughtful service seems to be harder to find these days, especially in bigger chain stores, but what a delight to experience it still being practised by this local store.
