Had them to put new roof on our Utility room 3 years ago in February 2016 and it was a disaster right from the start. Malcolm (the 70 year old owner) is the most rude and obnoxious person that I think I have ever met. After stripping off our old roof, he then took ill and left us with ripped tarpaulin covering the area which contained our boiler. I did not expect him to come back and replace the tarpaulin and thought he would send his workmate to complete this simple task. After 2 days of rain and cold weather Malcolm turned up saying he had got flu, I told him that I only expected to see his co-worker to fit new tarpaulins but Malcolm insisted with carrying on with the job. In the process they stood on one of our windowsills and broke the corner off. When I pointed this out Malcolm said he would sort it. Nearing the end of the job, I again pointed out about the broken sill and he said it was not his problem. We then had a blazing row out side in my back garden. After a few minutes he decided to back down when I said I was not going to pay him any money. The cladding he used internally looks cheap and we hate it. The fitting of it was a poor job, as over the past 3 years I have had to do patch up work on the internal fittings and also put extra lead flashing on the roof. The other day during a heavy rain fall we experienced flooding in our Utility room as the guttering he put in could not take the amount of rain and water was also pouring in under the cheap cladding he had put up on another wall.
My advice is to steer clear of this company. We are now looking for another company to come and fix his shoddy workmanship.
