I have bought at least my last four pairs of glasses from Apollo and can't praise them enough . All the staff are so helpful without being pushy, and they have a much nicer selection of frames than at Specsavers. They will also, if you want, fit new lenses into existing frames, which a lot of opticians aren't prepared to do (in fact, often tell you isn't possible!) because they want to sell you a new pair. I now get my eye test done at an opticians and then head down there for my new glasses. Looking forward to picking up a new pair shortly!

Absolutely brilliant service, they could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was my first time with varifocals and they explained everything very clearly. They took plenty of time and didn’t rush so it felt very relaxed and I left feeling confident. Would recommend to anyone needing glasses or lenses.

Having been recommended to go to Apollo Optical for my new lenses, I can only wish that I had known about them earlier. I had new lenses from a prescription provided by another optician and fitted into my own frames, which was not a problem to them. The staff were very friendly and the advice given to me was invaluable. There was no hard sell and I could see from the display of frames etc available it would be hard not select a pair from the ranges available. From my recent experience, I am very happy to recommend Apollo Optical.

When my Zeiss shooting glasses needed re - glazing with new prescription lenses I researched the market and also took advice from a friend and contacted Apollo. After a discussion with their very knowledgeable staff over my requirement I sent them two pairs by post with my current prescription and a request to match the tints . The glasses were returned quickly with new lenses and the required tints and at a very competitive price . I have no hesitation in recommending Apollo Optical .

After entering the premises standing in the rain i was met with a most unhelpful discourteous curt woman i have had the displeasure of coming across. You would have thought that having known their was a queue outside in the rain they would have informed people of the waiting times or had a fabric canopy. Other businesses nearby seemed to have had the fore thought and compassion to do this . I support and fully consent 100% the covid - 19 restrictions and logic in this. However it is the manner in which they are implemented in i object to. As soon as i entered the premises not a Hello , Good Morning or welcome as you are standing their dripping wet.Instead straight away a thermometer was thrust within inches of my face and jabbed gestures to use the sanitizer in a curt manner. The glasses i took back were due to their mistake of breaking the lens previously so you would expect them to have an ounce of empathy. I later returned to pick up the again repaired lenses and mentioned the poor service .The woman had not one ounce of interest, and instead of diffusing an unhappy customer experience in anger she tried to fuel the flames of it. I then asked to be served by someone else. Whereupon she walked over to her husband ranting and raving . While he continued to serve me she stood nearby arms folded and rolling her eyes still ranting how can that improve any situation ??? Clueless, Clueless in customer service. To top it off i was so keen to get out i forgot my receipt. To my aghast all i heard was Oi ! Oi ! is that a way to address someone ????
