I agree with the review above. I took a tapestry square in to be made into a cushion on the 10th December, leaving my telephone no. for them to ring when it was ready. I rang several times as I hadn't heard from them and in January went to collect it. The white canvas was showing around the braid and the quality of the backing material was dreadful. I asked them to resew to hide the bare white canvas showing and today went in to collect. At no time did they ring to let me know it was ready and the finished quality is shocking. I have had many tapestries made into cushions at other places and have always been very pleased with the results and always had a cushion pad included in the price. This time for £40 I didn't even get a cushion pad, dreadful shoddy material for the reverse of the cushion, and inferior stitching. I will never use this shop again.

New Stitches ruined my wedding dress and refused to accept responsibility, nor treat me with respect. I had my dress cleaned by New Stitches after they assured me it would be safe. It was returned with a tear down the front. I went back the next morning but the staff accused me of doing the damage myself. They gave me a 50 per cent refund because they said the 'dress was still clean'. Never ever use these people. You have been warned!

DON’T EVER USE NEW STITCHES! – They ruined my son’s new jacket and cost us over £150
My son bought a new suit for an important family wedding. The trousers needed some alterations. We took the suit to New Stitches where he tried on the entire outfit and had the trousers pinned. We were quite happy but then the tailor said the jacket sleeves were too long and needed to be shortened by one centimetre. He pinned the sleeves and we agreed to pay the extra £45 for the sleeve alteration to perfect the suit fit. When we returned, the sleeves were 4 centimetres shorter and looked ridiculous. New Stitches refused to acknowledge any error on their part – just kept saying it was our responsibility. The sleeves were so short they looked ridiculous and we had to buy a replacement jacket, which looked fine unaltered. New Stitches refused to accept any liability. We were just lucky that we had time before the wedding although we did not need the significant and unnecessary expense and aggravation.
