MAPLIN ELECTRONICS CROYDON - CROYDON, GR

I went to the one in west croydon. My problem with them is that they don't know their products well. I wanted to get a midi keyboard as well as a usb mic. I had only one request, and it was for them to help me on which models were compatible with mac computers and weither or not I'll be able to use Logic Pro comfortably with those electronics instruments that were connectable to computers logicials , especially the Logic Pro one which is popular. I ended up being upset the moment a guy that was working there for the "customer service" said that he didn't mean to be rude although that when I go to a shop for a product, I should know about them beforehand instead of expecting them to know about their products and help me spend my money properly on their store. Then I could hear the guy bad mouthing me so i left to a music store a few minutes away since they seemed to be in shock that I wasn't happy with the fact they didn't know about their products. To the other shop,the person that sold me the midi key board knew exactly what he was selling and sold me the key board in literally 5 min. He was welcoming and smiley on the top of that. The name of the shops that gave me an EXELLENT service is R*********. It's litteraly just a few minutes further Maplin. My final point about this store is that if you want something like a printer (I bought one there) , headphones or something that you can just pick yourself without bothering them, you should be just fine ;) If however you want want smiley , enthusiast service as well as a good customer service that know what they are talking about or at least TRY to find out how they can help you , you are better off going at another store than this one. If you are a musician and want to buy electronic tools that will help you doing your work online, a proper music shop like R********* will be the right store. I ended up going buying my mic at Maplin because R********* didn't sell usb mic. Of course without customer service since no one came to help. When you want to spend a few hundred pounds on products , I don't think it's unreasonable to expect help when it comes to buy the right things but maybe it's just me ;) Don't shop there ! Instead pick a store that truly care about the customer service.

I went to get a broken charger port fixed in my laptop.

They ended up breaking the mouse (touchpad) and claiming it had already been broken when they had received it.

Untrustworthy and unreliable people. Don't surrender your gadget to them.
