SIMPLY MAIL SOLUTIONS - PADGATE, CH

We have been using Simply Mail Solutions for about two years. Their services has been okay, but not great. We have had several outages each year. Anyhow, the reason that I have given them only two stars is because they have a very restrictive contract which allows them to automatically renew your email hosting without any notice. I.e. The day before they renew your hosting, they invoice you and then just take the money from your account

This is fine if you always have the same email requires every year. However, this contract is clearly designed to lock customers in. They really should give their customers notice and the option to change their requirements.

I didn't know about this and I phoned up just a few days after they had invoiced me to ask them to reduce the number of mailboxes on our account from 31 to 28. They just said "You signed up to the contract and there is nothing you can do about it."

There are lots of email providers that don't treat their customer like this and so we are leaving them as soon as possible (I.e. when our contract runs out). My advice is: don't use Simply Mail Solutions and use another company that treats their customers kindly and in a respectful manner.
